My dad amazing at this stuff he makes a lot of parts because he does blacksmithing. He also fixs everything and he went out a found a Manuel for the car wasn't too hard because it's a Japanese car and in new Zealand we buy a lot of their cars. He also was an amazing driver but it's as terrorfing as as my sisters driving (she can't drive) and he takes corners way too fast and keeps it in the lane but your thrown against the Door so when I was in the car I was holding the Jesus handle the whole trip.

Yo, ChrisFix. I got the cooling system flushed and I also replaced the clamp on my coolant hose connected to the recovery tank on my 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue, however, I discovered the coolant is leaking for some odd reason. I checked all of the major hoses and the radiator, and I didn't see anything. Is it the coolant tank that's starting to leak or something else? It's an external leak, I'm sure, and on top of that, I see a bit of coolant on the lower hose that connects to the thermostat housing at the coolant tank's lower port, on the belt tensioner pulley, and on the coolant tank itself. Fortunately, I have a jug of coolant in my car and the car temperature goes to the 3/4 marker when driving, but, goes back down (hasn't overheated in a couple of months). I don't see any crimped hoses, but, I'm going to inspect that on Saturday.

Vor 12 Tage

I think I found the answer. I purchased the Dex-Cool coolant that requires Distilled wooder to mix it with. Going to Autozone and buy the right one and remove the current coolant from the tank. I hate myself now.

Your airbag still has a possibility of detonating for around 25 minutes after you disconnect the battery.

Vor 17 Tage
ChrisFix

Thanks for sharing. It varies from car to car but even if you kept the battery connected, the airbag should not deploy. It is only going to deploy if you hit the sensor hard or you put 12v to the airbag.

Getting the old gasket off was what took the longest. And how do you still have a metal DPFE sensor??? Did you replace it with OEM? The new ones are plastic.

I love your videos Chris. Cover all bases. I would by a car from you anyday. Another common practice with me whenever I loosen a nut I always hit it with a dab of WD-40 let it sit a few minutes and then losing it. Then I dab the nut inside with a spot and do the same to the threads that the nut screws onto I find it's always a good idea to keep those things lubricated, and each time you go to loosen the nut this will give you an opportunity to do this.

Chris I wanna ask a question if I remove the plastic of the radiator could I add it again like but it again and the first thing if I use the sealer for the radiator and after that after like the emergency I remember I bought stuff to remove the radiator and I remove the plastic which surrounds the radiator and there’s a substance called flex tape if I used In Fixing leaks and And I could use it under a liquid so if I install the plastic again will it leak and I would like I remove the clog and everything will it leak

Pro tip, if you don't have a bleeder valve and you have some upper engine hoses, then loosen one of those hoses off and fill the fluid until it starts coming out of the hose. Very large air pockets can form in these hoses.

Chris, awesome video! Quick tip I use for the no spill funnel. Before putting the plunger in, slightly squeeze the upper radiator hose, then put the plunger in, release the hose and remove the funnel. Doing that raises the coolant in the funnel, when the plunger is in and you release the hose, it pulls the coolant back in the system to keep it from spilling out of the radiator filler neck. Hope that's helpful for you and your viewers! Keep up the awesome videos!!
