here is what you can do, buy a external 2.5" enclosure and buy your own ssd and put it in. Its cheaper and you can get up to 4tb of storage.

They still cost like 3x more than HDD, but have huge advantages. I'm a YouTuber and need to store my fav videos safely. Try unplugging an HDD, makes an abrupt sound, next time you plug it in, windows 10 says options for device, repair lol. And the T5 works with 2.0 USB ports too. Sweet.

Comparing HDD GB with SSD GB is just useless. SSD usage it quite different than HDD. You Buy SSD if you dont want to wait ages for a 3GB file to be moved or...on a laptop or mac were hdd/ssd drive on board is not upgradeable. In this case you can run premier pro or photoshop straight on file stored on ssd with an incredible fast response as they are on internal ssd. With external hdd im afraid yiu can' t think of having a valid storage upgrade

Very excellent product, and extremely valuable if someone needs the fastest storage. On the other hand, I suspect this will be overkill for the average person, especially as wireless speeds continue increasing and cloud storage grows in the next decade.
